•Condition: There is little foxing water damage etc, however there is ; A tear to the spine shown in Photography - worm on the foot edge and fore edge, this doesn’t cross the text and having checked throughout I can find no word made unreadable by it. – The rear pastedown end paper has some handwritten additional index items - The front paste down end paper is missing as are 1 or 2 front end sheets needed to match the rear. There is a previous owner's signature “William Robert Roger 1834” at the top of the contents and dedication section.

The edition is notable for its association with early scientific humanism, marking the transition from Galenic to observational anatomy. This book was published without illustration.
